Ari Lennox Releases Sultry New Single "Up Late" In Anticipation Of Her Upcoming Album

Her debut album, 'Shea Butter Baby,' drops May 7.

Dreamville songtress Ari Lennox delivers another track built for late-night love. "Up Late" is just as steamy as her last single, "Shea Butter Baby," which features her labelmate J. Cole.

The D.C. artist croons on the track, "On all night / Quarter five / I be insane if I let you hit / I need you / Should be here / For my regretful morning." The new song not only features her signature lusty lyrics but also saxophonist Masego makes an appearance. His sounds glide with her voice as she details her seductive plans with someone special for the night.

Along with the new track, Ari also released the tracklist and cover art for her upcoming debut album, Shea Butter Baby, out May 7. She sits front and center on the cover, surrounded by pink softness, along with a tracklist numbered in a more unconvential way. The songs are ordered by hair type, rather than numerical, a nod to the uses of Shea Butter. Label-mate J.I.D will also be joining her as the only other feature aside from Cole.
