6LACK Covers Erykah Badu's Classic Single "On & On"

The UL flagship artists have a stronger connection than one might think.

6LACK recently swung by Australian radio station triple j for its Like a Version series and performed the 1996 Erykah Badu classic, "On & On."

The LVRN/Interscope Records artist, who released his debut studio album, Free 6lack, earlier this year, has a deep connection to Badu. After his performance, he told triple j:

"Her son is definitely named Seven and my daughter is definitely named Six. I think the funniest thing about the connection between me and her is when my daughter was being born, I had a show at the Observatory in California.

So, I missed my daughter's birth. While I'm listening to her on the phone, Erykah Badu is performing in the background and I'm crying on the phone. And Erykah's singing, and I'm listening to my baby being born... So I'll always have a connection to her and everything she does."

Once the performance aired, 6LACK took to Twitter to post a video of himself FaceTiming Badu and explaining his deep connection to her music. While we wait for their future (hopeful) collaboration, grab Free 6LACK on Spotify and Apple Music now.
